I believe the therapeutic process is more effective when a person is able to show up as their authentic self:
physically, emotionally, and verbally.
I also empathize with the fact unique stressors come with navigating the world as a woman of color, and discussing this may not always feel safe.
Due to this, I strive to curate a space where women of color feel secure and supported.
I approach therapy with you as the expert, using models that incorporate racial identity, reframing unhelpful narratives, and focus on improving your ability to positively cope with stressors.
